Der Verein ist nicht auf Gewinn ausgerichtet und verfolgt ausschließlich und unmittelbar gemeinnützige Zwecke im Sinne der §§ 34 ff BAO: Erforschung, Förderung, Produktion, Vermittlung und Rezeption künstlerischer und kultureller Aktivitäten. Der Verein versteht sich als Plattform der Vernetzung auf internationaler Ebene und des künstlerischen Austauschs, mit der Zielsetzung sich auf inhaltlicher Ebene unter anderem mit zeitgenössischen bzw. gesellschaftsrelevanten Themen auseinanderzusetzen. Zusätzlicher Schwerpunkt ist die Schaffung von Räumen zur künstlerischen Produktion bzw. interdisziplinären Nutzung. Weiters besteht sein Bildungsauftrag darin, die oben genannten Punkte an Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene zu vermitteln.
